Islamabad, Aug 31 (IBNS): At least two people were killed and more than 300 other injured in clashes between police and protesters in Pakistan's capital Islamabad, which continued till the wee hours of Sunday, reports said.
Meanwhile, Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan, who is protesting against the government along with thousands of activists, has declined to move from the site, which is near Prime Minister residence in Islamabad, until Nawaz Sharif resigns from his post.

"Until we take resignation from these Sharif Brothers we will not go from here," Khan urged the protesters.

He said, " I want all democracy-loving Pakistanis to come to Azadi Chowk & fight forces of fascism."

Khan reportedly threatened to file FIR against Nawaz Sharif and  Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan.

Violence erupted on Saturday as  protesters led by Imran Khan and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Chief Dr Tahirul Qadri marched towards the Prime Minister house in Islamabad.

"Some 25,000 people marched on the prime minister's house late Saturday after talks with the government mediated by the army failed to end the political impasse," DawnNews reported.

The security forces reportedly used tear gas to disperse the crowd.

Fresh contingents of police were brought in the Red Zone on Sunday to counter the protesters, DawnNews reported.

Demanding Sharif's resignation, thousands of protesters led by Qadri and  Khan have camped outside the parliament building in Islamabad for the past few days.
