US House Foreign Affairs Committee, Michael McCaul, who is heading a bipartisan delegation from the US to Indian city of Dharamshala, has affirmed President Joe Biden's intention to sign the 'Resolve Tibet Act'.

The delegation met Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama in the city.

"We are very excited to see His Holiness tomorrow to talk about many things including the bill we passed out of Congress which basically says that the United States stands with the people of Tibet," McCaul was quoted as saying by ANI.

When asked if President Biden would sign the bill, McCaul confirmed, "Yes, he will."

Tibet was invaded by China in 1950.

China’s ruling Communist Party has been governing it since then.
