Kabul: Suicide bombers killed during standoff near Spanish Embassy

Kabul, Dec 12 (IBNS) An explosive filled vehicle was detonated by a suicide bomber near the Spanish Embassy in Sherpur Area of Kabul city on Friday, which resulted in a standoff between security officials and the assailants, Khaama Press reported.

Two assailants were shot dead, while the third sustained injuries, confirmed senior deputy interior minister for security Gen. Ayub Salangi.

Though the exact number of casualties are not yet known, initial reports suggest that seven people were taken to a  hospital. The toll is expected to rise.
