Kabul: Hit by the closure of their school, two girls in Afghanistan's capital city  Kandahar have opened a painting and drawing center in their homes.

The girls, who are sisters, turned one of the rooms in their house into a painting and drawing center, and from this room they are promoting the art of painting and drawing, reports Tolo News.

They urged the Taliban rulers of the country to reopen education centres for girls in the country.

“I ask the Islamic Emirate to reopen all the educational institutions so that all girls can go and learn their lessons,” Shugofa Amiri, a painter, told Tolo News.

“They have given us 10 to 12 rules which are very strict. They told us that you should not come without Mahram,” Masoma Amiri, a painter, told the news portal.

The Taliban took control of Afghanistan on Aug 15 after forcefully entering the country.
