Karachi airport attack mastermind killed?
"Abu Abdur Rehman Almani is considered a key commander of the Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan (IMU), also now famous by the name of Islamic Movement of Turkestan," Dawn News reported quoting Intelligence and military sources.
At least 50 other militants were killed in the strike.
Pakistan's Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said the militants were connected to the attack at Karachi airport.
"Today at about 0130 hours, a number of Terrorists hideouts in Degan, Datta Khel in NWA, were targeted by jet aircrafts. There were confirmed reports of presence of foreign and local terrorists in these hideouts who were linked in planning of Karachi airport attack. Reportedly over 50 Terrorists, mostly Uzbek foreigners are killed in the strikes. An ammunition dump has also been destroyed ," ISPR said in a statement.
The attack at Karachi airport killed 38 people, including 10 attackers, last week.
