Pakistan: Blast hits Khuzdar, four labourers hurt

Khuzdar: A bomb blast in Pakistan's Khuzdar region on Thursday left at least four labourers injured, media reports said.

They all worked with a private company.

Police said miscreants planted an improvised explosive device (IED) in a motorbike near Khatan Chowk, reports Dawn News.

The IED went off when a pickup carrying labourers of the private company from Khuzdar to Naal reached the Chowk, SSP Khuzdar Tariq Khan Khilji told the Pakistan-based newspaper, adding that four labourers were injured in the blast.

Police and personnel of Frontier Corps went to the spot after the blast.

The injured people were rushed to Khuzdar Teaching Hospital for treatment.

The injured were identified as Shamsur Rehman, Noorullah, Rehmatullah and Qasid belonging to Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The pickup was badly damaged in the blast, reports Dawn News.

Police have registered the case against unknown people.

No one has claimed responbsibility for the incident.
