Panorama India celebrates Indian Independence Day and Grand Parade in Toronto

Toronto, Aug 22 (IBNS): Panorama India celebrated 71st Indian Independence Day and Grand Parade 2017 on Sunday along with Canada 150 at Nathan Phillips Square in Toronto.

The day also marked the celebration of 40th year of Indo-Canada Chamber of Commerce.

Established in 1999, Panorama India, is a not-for-profit umbrella organization with support from Consulate General of India, Toronto Representatives from "All Stay United.org" were present at the event. They presented a message that One India is Strong India and urged all Indian constituents to stay united.

The highlights of the event were: Canada Parade led Indian actress and yoga proponen,t Shilpa Shetty Kundra, colourful Floats, Food and Vendors, Cultural Programs, Bollywood Singing Star and Celebrity and many more.

The celebrations started with a tribute to Baba Ram Dev and Sister Shivani by some religious chants followed by some yoga practices conducted by yoga teachers and participated by children, young and old who were taught the proper techniques of pranayam. Some of the cultural organizations who participated in the 71st Independence Day.

Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynn said: "Congratulations to everyone at Panorama India. Amazing community, amazing day!”

"On behalf of the Government of Ontario…I commend Panorama India for organizing today’s parade…commend Indo-Canadian community for its many invaluable contributions to the social, cultural and economic life of the province” Wynn added.

Parade Float included 18 colourful floats, a few of them being: Panorama India, Sant Nirankari Mission Toronto, Freedom Yoga, Uttar Pradeshis in Canada (UPICA), Punjabi Times Media Group and many more.
