Saskatchewan, Oct 23 (IBNS): A 21-year-old man struck by a half-ton truck on Saturday two kilometres south of Prince Albert, Sask., police reports said.

Emergency services arrived at the scene of collision on Highway 2 at around 6:30 a.m.

The man was walking in the middle of the double-lane highway when he was struck by the southbound vehicle, said the investigators.

The young man was transported to the hospital with serious conditions, while driver of the truck did not leave the scene of accident.

Heavy fog and low-light conditions were the main causes of the collision, RCMP said.

The investigation is in progress but no charges have been laid so far.
