Sydney seaplane crash leaves six people killed
Sydney, Dec 31 (IBNS): A seaplane crashed into a river in Australia's Sydney city on Sunday, leaving at least six people killed, media reports said.
The incident reportedly occurred on the Hawkesbury River.
New South Wales Police said in a statement: "The plane, which had six people on board including the pilot, went down about 3.10pm today (Sunday 31 December 2017)."
The police said six bodies have been recovered so far.
"Police divers are on scene and the six bodies have now been recovered from the wreckage," the police said.
The identity of the deceased people are still not known.
"No information is available on the identity of the occupants at this stage and media are asked not to speculate on their identity until confirmed by police," the police said.
