Toronto, Aug 26 (IBNS): Three first degree murder charges had been filed against a 35-year-old Toronto man, Brett Ryan, in connection with the deaths of three people in an incident involving crossbow in Scarborough here.

On Thursday, around 1 PM (EDT), police sources said, a call was made to complain about a stabbing in the area of Lawndale Road and Knowlton Drive, suburbs of Scarborough.

When police arrived, two men and a woman were found in a life threatening position in the driveway. They succumbed to injuries at the scene. However, police believed the victims suffered from crossbow bolts, as they found the evidence a crossbow lying nearby.

After four hours of the incident, police found a link between the deaths with a suspicious package found in downtown, Toronto.

Local neighbours said they heard shouting of people before police arrived at the scene of murder. A local resident who do not wish to be named said a man sought for help to call 911.

Police said autopsies of the dead bodies are slated to take place later Friday.
