Turkey: Suicide bomber responsible for Suruc massacre identified
Suruc, July 21 (IBNS): The suicide bomber allegedly responsible for the attack in the Turkish town of Suruc on Monday that killed 32 people have been identified, Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said on Tuesday.
According to officials, terrorist outfit Islamic State is to be blamed for the attack.
Ahmet Davutoglu, who is due to visit the scene of the blast, told mediapersons that the suspect's international and domestic links were being investigated.
A cabinet meeting on Wednesday will examine additional security measures along the border with Syria.
The attacker was earlier suspected to be female but local media reports said that the massacre was carried out by a man.
"The blast targeted a group of young people who planned to travel to Kobane to assist with rebuilding. Kobane has seen heavy fighting between Islamic State militants and Kurdish fighters," BBC reported.
