Kolkata, Aug 7 (IBNS): Hypermarket chain Spencer's Retail on Friday inaugurated its new outlet at DLF Newtown Heights in Kolkata.

This is their third outlet in Rajarhat area of the city.

Speaking at the launch, Lakshman Nagar, Vice President, Spencer’s Retail said, “We are happy to expand our presence in Rajarhat today. The great response received from shoppers  so far have made us more confident today that we will be able to deliver value service to  customers.”

Apart from fruits, vegetables, bakery and grocery, the store has a separate counter for fish, meat and other frozen products.

“Our range and assortment for food and personal care products are best in the locality. Things have been put together by keeping in mind the requirements of the shoppers in Rajarhat. A lot of emphasis has been laid to ensure shopping convenience and fast check outs,” added Nagar.

Spencer’s has 121 stores, including 37 large format outlets, across 35 cities in India.

Currently, it has eight hyper stores in Kolkata and 12 convenient stores across the city.

The brand also plans to expand the number of stores in Kolkata.

“We are expanding in Kolkata, especially in the places where we have not reached yet,” said Nagar.
