Air Chief Marshal Bhadauria safe after Pearl Harbour shooting: IAF

New Delhi/UNI: The Indian Air Force said on Thursday Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Rakesh Kumar Singh Bhadauria and his team, who are currently in the US military base there, are safe, after a shooting incident at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam in Hawaii.

"The IAF Chief and his team are safe," said a spokesperson for the IAF.

The incident of shooting took place at the naval base while the IAF Chief is staying at the US air force base in Pearl Harbor, an  official said.

Air chief RKS Bhadauria is in Hawaii for the Pacific Air Force Chiefs Conference (PACS-2019) at the American military base in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii in the United States.

The team of air force officials was visiting the US military base to discuss regional security issues.

A US Navy sailor killed two people and wounded other before shooting self at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam near Honolulu, Hawaii (JBPHH) at 0600 hrs IST on Thursday.
