Delhi gets little respite from sultry weather

New Delhi, Jun 16 (UNI) The national capital on Sunday woke up to a cloudy morning and also received traces of rainfall at several places, bringing little respite from the searing heat.

The maximum temperature till 1400 hrs was 33 degrees C as per the Met office, while sky started to get clear with bright sun.

The maximum temperature during the day is likely to hover around 38 degrees C, according to the Met office.

Relative humidity was around 50 per cent , as per weatherman.

Air quality in the city was under the moderate category with an index value of 195, according to the Central Pollution Control Board.

Thunderstorm and dust storm accompanied by very light rain is expected towards the evening, said the Met official.

In the morning, the minimum temperature settled at 28.2 degrees C, normal for the season.
