New Delhi, Apr 12 (UNI): Cash-strapped airline Jet Airways on Friday announced the suspension of its international operations till April 15.

Earlier, the airline has on Thursday cancelled all its international flights for April 12.

“Jet Airways has cancelled its international operations from 12th – 15th April, 2019,” a spokesperson for the airline said in a statement here.

He said the airline is working to minimise guest inconvenience using its 24x7 contact centre, guest relations and the social media response teams, to handle schedule adjustments, in line with defined regulatory guidelines, including offering re-accommodation choices or extending applicable refunds as the situation warrants.

He added: “In parallel, the airline’s management and its key stakeholders including its consortium of lenders, continue to work closely towards resolving the current situation.”

The airline, however, regrets the inconvenience caused to its passengers.

The airline has been facing a mountain debt of more than Rs 8,000 crore. On March 25, the airline’s Board had passed a resolution plan to infuse Rs 1500 crore in the Jet Airways for its recovery though it could not be materialized till date.
