Arvind Kejriwal slams Centre, Lieutenant Governor over Delhi woman murder inside park

New Delhi/IBNS/UNI: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday slammed the Centre and Delhi Lieutenant Governor over the law and order situation in the national capital after a woman was allegedly murdered inside a park.

Kejriwal requested Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena and Union Home Minister Amit Shah to make Delhi police ‘a little active’.

Taking to Twitter, Kejriwal wrote in Hindi: “Another daughter was brutally murdered in Delhi, it is very sad. Law and order have become a serious issue in Delhi. It is a request to the LG and the Home Minister to make the police a little active. The safety of the daughters and the people of Delhi is very important.”

This comes as a man beat his cousin to death with an iron rod in Delhi’s Malviya Nagar as she had refused to marry him, and he was finding it difficult to get anyone else to agree either.

The accused, Irfan, who killed the 25-year-old woman, Nargis, in a park Friday afternoon, had allegedly been planning the murder for three days and surrendered to the police hours after committing it.
