| @indiablooms | Aug 10, 2021, at 11:33 pm

Dhaka/UNI: The deadline for closing the land border with India has been further extended till August 15.

This decision was taken at a meeting chaired by Foreign Secretary Masood bin Momen today.

Indian Visa Centers in Bangladesh will be operational from August 11. The Indian High Commission in Dhaka has announced on its verified Facebook page that the Indian Ministry of External Affairs has decided that visa centres will accept all types of applications except travel visas.

Due to the worsening situation in India, Bangladesh closed all its borders with the country for the first 14 days on April 26. Later, the border closure period was extended in several phases. The latest announcement was to keep the border closed for two days until August 10.
