COVID-19 positive cases in K'taka soar to 4320

Bengaluru/UNI: With the reporting of 257 fresh cases of COVID-19, the total number of infected surged to 4320 in Karnataka on Thursday.

According to health sources, the death toll also rose to 57, when four patients, getting treatment in Bengaluru, Dvanagere and Gadag, succumbed to death following COVID-19 related complications.

Among the 257 fresh cases, Udupi topped with 92 cases followed by Raichur 88, Mandya 15, Hassana 15, Davanagere 13, and Belagavi 12.

Fresh cases of pandemic were also reported from Bengaluru Urban, Chikkaballapura, Dakshina Kannada, Vijayapura, Mysuru, Ballari, Gadag, Tumakuru and Haveri districts from the state, the sources further said.

As many as 106 COVID-19 patients, got discharged from the hospital, after completely cured from the disease taking the numbers to 1610, ever since the outbreak of the pandemic, in the state.

The sources added that among the new cases, at least 155 persons had come from other states, while one person travelled into the state from abroad.
