Srinagar/UNI: Restrictions are being eased for the first time since March in 12 out of 36 containment zones in Srinagar from Wednesday, following a comprehensive review conducted by the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA).

District Magistrate (DM) Shahid Choudhary, who also heads the DDMA, said the authority conducted a comprehensive review of all 36 containment zones in Srinagar.

He said at least 12 zones will have ease in perimeter restrictions, including roads and lanes starting on Wednesday.

However, zone wise notification/advisories will be issued separately, he added.
