Srinagar/UNI: Police on Monday said that two Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) Over Ground Workers (OGWs) were arrested along with arms and ammunition, including two grenades, in north Kashmir district of Baramulla.

Officials said information was on Sunday received through reliable sources that two OGWs -- identified as Waseem Ahmed Mir and Bashir Ahmad Bhat -- were motivating youth to join militant ranks in Kreeri in Baramulla.

"The duo was trying to rejuvenate militancy in the area by persuading youth the join militant ranks,'' they said.

They said the duo was apprehended and on their disclosure, two grenades and 20 live round of AK 47 rifle were recovered. ''A case has been registered and investigation has been initiated into the incident,'' they said.

They said more arrests could happen in coming days.
