Jammu and Kashmir: JeM associate arrested in Pulwama

Srinagar/UNI: Security forces arrested an associate of Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) in south Kashmir district of Pulwama, a police spokesman said on Monday.

He said in a joint operation troops of 42 Rashtriya Rifles (RR), 180 Batallion CRPF and Special Operation Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir police arrested a JeM associate Muzamil Qadir Bhat, a resident of Larow Jagir, Tral in Pulwama.

A hand grenade concealed in the compound of his house and other incriminating material were recovered from his possession, he said.

Spokesman said Bhat was in touch with the militant commanders of JeM in Tral and across the country.

A case FIR number13/2021under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Tral in this regard and further investigation is going on as per police
