J&K women entrepreneurs secure funding and inspire others at "Women for Startups" workshop

Jammu and Kashmir women entrepreneurs, Nuzhat Qazi and Insha Mir, have achieved a significant milestone by securing funding for their ventures. Nuzhat Qazi received a funding amount of Rs. 50 lakhs, while Insha Mir secured Rs. 25 lakhs through the Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) and Startup India.

The "Women for Startups" workshop, organized under the leadership of Commissioner Secretary, Industries and Commerce, J&K, in collaboration with Startup India and DPIIT, witnessed a vibrant atmosphere with aspiring women entrepreneurs displaying tremendous energy and passion.

The workshop provided valuable insights into various entrepreneurial aspects and funding strategies. The JKEDI played a vital role in nurturing the aspirations of these women and is committed to empowering more aspiring entrepreneurs to drive economic growth in the Union Territory.

Ajaz Ahmad Bhat (IAS), Director of JKEDI, expressed his heartfelt enthusiasm for the exceptional achievements of Nuzhat Qazi and Insha Mir. He emphasized that their accomplishments not only highlight their dedication and innovative ideas but also serve as a tremendous source of inspiration for aspiring entrepreneurs in Jammu and Kashmir.

Bhat acknowledged the significant impact their success will have in motivating and empowering future entrepreneurs within the region, reinforcing the belief in the untapped potential and talent that exists in J&K.

The funding secured by Nuzhat Qazi and Insha Mir will provide them with the necessary resources to scale their ventures and bring their innovative ideas to fruition. Their success validates their hard work and determination, highlighting the importance of fostering a supportive ecosystem that empowers women in entrepreneurship.

Both entrepreneurs expressed their satisfaction with the event and emphasized the significance of such initiatives for women entrepreneurs, calling for more frequent organization of similar events to foster courage and growth among aspiring female business leaders.
