Srinagar/IBNS: Mission Director Jammu & Kashmir Rural Livelihoods Mission (JKRLM), Dr Syed Sehrish Asgar, Thursday chaired a meeting to review block-wise progress achieved under the Rural livelihood Mission in Anantnag district.

Dr Sehrish Asgar impressed upon the officials to aggregate and register the existing SHG members, who are artisans under the Scheme of Fund for Regeneration of Traditional Industries (SFURTI), as it will facilitate work by creating Common Facility Centers (CFCs), Raw Material Bank (RMB) and skill & design development training.

He said under convergence with various departments, the Self Help Group (SHG) members must establish their livelihoods both in the farm sector and non-farm sectors.

Since there is huge potential for dairy in the district, the BPMs were directed to enrol SHG members under Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) and initiate group activities for forwarding linkages and taking their business to a higher level.
