Kashmir: Three CRPF personnel injured in militant attack in Srinagar

Srinagar/UNI: At least three personnel of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) were injured in a militant attack in the outskirts of Srinagar city on Srinagar-Baramulla road this afternoon, official sources said.

They said a group of militants fired at a CRPF party at Lawaypora in the city outskirts on the highway.

Three CRPF personnel were injured in the broad-daylight attack, they said adding militants later fled from the area.

The Road Opening Party (ROP), security forces and police personnel, rushed from nearby police stations and camps, launched a massive hunt to trace the militants responsible for the attack.

Further details are awaited, they said.
