Kerala vlogger booked for 'trespassing' reserve forest

Kollam/UNI: The Kerala Forest Department has booked a vlogger under non-bailable offences for allegedly trespassing into a reserve forest and scaring a wild elephant while shooting a video for her social media channel.

The case was filed Friday against vlogger Amala Anu after verifying the video clip of the Ambazhathra Reserve Forest posted in her YouTube channel, sources said.

In the video, the scared elephant could be seen running amok due to the sound of helicam.

Earlier, the Forest Department had issued an order warning people against trespassing into forest areas in the name of trekking and adventure tourism.

As per the law, trespassing is punishable under Section 27 of the Kerala Forest Act 1961.
