Maharashtra: Govt hospital employee among 3 held for Remdesivir black marketing

Aurangabad/Maharashtra/Apr 16 (UNI) The Pundalikanagar Police have arrested three persons on Friday for stealing and selling Remdesivir injections from a Government Medical College and Hospital here.

It has come to light that the trio accused were black marketing the life-saving drug by selling it without prescription at a high price of Rs 15,000 per unit.

Among those selling injections is a Class IV employee at a government hospital.

The police laid a trap and arrested two medical shops owners along with the employee.

The accused have been identified as GMCH staffer Anil Bohate and the duo Mandar Bhalerao and Abhijeet Taur.

A case has been filed and further probe is on.
