Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday urged citizens to stay united and resilient amid growing global tensions arising from the Middle East conflict.

He said, “These are certainly challenging times. Through ‘Mann Ki Baat,’ I once again appeal to all my countrymen that we must collectively overcome this challenge.”

The Prime Minister cautioned against politicizing the crisis, stating that national interest must remain the priority.

“This is a matter concerning the interests of 140 crore Indians; there is no place for self-serving politics,” he said.

He also warned against misinformation, adding, “Those who are spreading rumours are causing serious harm to the country. I appeal to everyone to remain vigilant and not be misled. Trust only the continuous information provided by the government and act accordingly. I am confident that, as in past crises, the strength of 140 crore Indians will help us overcome this difficult situation together.”

The conflict reportedly began on February 28 following US and Israeli strikes on Tehran, after which Iran retaliated with attacks on multiple countries in the region.
