Nashik: The city police have launched a manhunt for unidentified robbers who allegedly stolen an automated teller machine (ATM) of SBI Bank at RPF centre in Samangaon Road area, near Nashik Road, in the wee hours of today (Sunday).

A gang of thieves tried to break the ATM at an RPF Centre in the area of Samangaon Road here at around 0400 hours, but it was unsuccessful, so they ripped ATM from its foundation and fled with it, police said.

As soon as the citizens came to know about the incident in the morning, they informed about it to the city police.

Thereafter, a team of Nashik Road Police rushed to the spot.

Police have started an investigation based on the Close Circuit TV camera footage.

The amount of cash in this ATM has yet to be ascertained, sources added.
