Rahul Gandhi attacks Centre over fuel price rise

| @indiablooms | Nov 03, 2021, at 07:07 pm

New Delhi/UNI: Amid surge in the prices of petrol and diesel, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi Wednesday took a dig at the Centre and wished that the Narendra Modi-led government had a 'sensitive heart' towards common people.

"It is Diwali. Inflation is at its height. It is not a joke. Wish Modi government had a sensitive heart towards the public," said the Congress MP in a tweet in Hindi, in an apparent reference to increase in fuel prices.

Gandhi has been attacking the ruling BJP government over the rise in prices of petrol and diesel and accusing it of "tax extortion".

On Monday, the Congress leader without naming the Centre, in a tweet had said, "Beware of pickpockets! #TaxExtortion."
