New Delhi/UNI: BJP President J P Nadda on Saturday formed a four-member committee to probe the death of a seer, who was an anti-mining actvist, in Rajasthan's Bharatpur district.

Seer Vijay Das, who allegedly attempted self-immolation against 'illegal mining' in Bharatpur, died late Friday night at Safdarjung Hospital here.

The four-member panel will visit the spot - where the seer allegedly attempted the suicidal bid - to get all the information related to the incident.

The committee will submit its reports to the party chief, according to the statement issued by BJP here.

The committee includes BJP general secretary Arun Singh, Sikar MP Swami Sumedhanand Saraswati, MP Satyapal Singh and MP and former Uttar Pradesh Director General of Police Brij Lal.

Seers have been staging protest in Pasopa in Bharatpur district against mining activities.
