Panaji/UNI: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will visit Goa on Oct 28, 2021.

In a tweet, she said, ''As I prepare for my maiden visit to Goa on 28th, I call upon all individuals, organisations and political parties to join forces to defeat the BJP and their divisive agenda. The people of Goa have suffered enough over the last 10 years.''

''Together, we will usher in a new dawn for Goa by forming a new govt that will truly be a govt of the people of Goa and committed to realising their aspirations! #GoenchiNaviSakal,'' she said.

The Trinamool Congress supremo is expected to hold meetings with leaders for the preparation of Assembly elections in the coastal state, which is scheduled to be held early next year.

The party has planned to contest in all 40 constituencies in the state. After joining TMC, former Goa Chief Minister Luizinho Faleiro has been successful in bringing many Congress leaders to the party's fold.

On Friday, she had appointed former Faleiro as the national vice president of TMC.
