Yogi Adityanath welcomes PM Modi Rs 20 lakh crore economic relief package

Lucknow/UNI: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has welcomed Prime Minister Narendra Modi's announcement of an economic package of Rs 20 lakh crore for the country to meet the challenges due to Coronavirus pandemic.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has said that PM Modi has given his guidance as a guardian from time to time. For the fourth time, he had direct interaction with the citizens of the country against this epidemic.

Chief Minister Yogi, in his statement here on Tuesday, said: "We are all grateful to Prime Minister Narendra Modi that during this crisis, he has announced a very large economic package to support the poor, farmers, labourers, MSMEs, migrant labourers, and petty vendors and others who are daily wage earners."

Yogi Adityanath heartily congratulated Modi for the economic package of Rs 20 lakh crore and said that on behalf of the 23 crore people of the state, I express my gratitude to him.

He said,"I am confident that through this large economic package, not only the MSME sector of Uttar Pradesh but also the ODOP will get a new height. He said that ODOP is continuously reaching new heights. Due to the Corona crisis, the sector was facing lot of hardships, this package will give a new financial boost to the sector."

The Chief Minister said that more than 20 lakh migrant workers are going to arrive in Uttar Pradesh while 10 lakh migrant workers have already arrived. It is expected that more than 10 lakh migrant workers will arrive in the next 10 days.

This economic package will give us a new direction for the welfare of all workers, he said.

He asserted that a large number of people who are petty vendors, street vendors and covered under the street vending policy are already present in the state, and their number is around 15 lakh.

"We had arranged for their sustenance during the arrival of Corona crisis. This economic package announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi will provide a new strength to all of them," he said.

"I heartily congratulate Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the announcement of an economic package of Rs 20 lakh crore for the revival of country's rural economy, and micro, small and medium enterprises."

"I am confident that under the guidance of the Prime Minister we will overcome the Corona crisis. We will protect every citizen from Corona, and this economic package will help in our financial independence," the CM added.
