Alia Bhatt pairs kurta with 'lungi' in her unconventional dress code for Diwali. Details inside
Mumbai/IBNS: Bollywood star Alia Bhatt has revolutionised her dress code for Diwali celebrations with her family including actor husband Ranbir Kapoor and close friends as she paired her kurta with a 'lungi' type wrap for the festivities.
Alia dropped a set of images from her Diwali night where she bonded with her family members and close friends.
The 32-year-old donned a soft pastel (light pink) chikankari (traditional embroidery) kurta, sheer in places, with a relaxed silhouette.
The bottom half was draped in what resembles a "lungi-style" wrap or skirt — essentially a saree or draped fabric worn in the style of a lungi.

In accessories, Alia opted for minimal makeup, centre part hair and floral/gajra accessory, fine gold jewellery (choker style) so that the outfit remains the focal point.
On the work front, Alia is gearing up for the release of her upcoming action-spy film, Alpha, which also features Sharvari.
The film is set to release on December 25, 2025.
Besides, she is busy shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Love & War, co-starring Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal in the lead.
