Mumbai, Apr 27 (IBNS) The music of upcoming Marathi film 'Prime Time' was launched at an event recently and Marathi celebs showed their support to the film by attending the event, which was also graced by former Deputy Chief Minister Chhagan Bhujbal.

Produced by Himanshu Kesari Patil and directed by Promod Kashyap under their banner Saranay Entertainment, ‘Prime Time’ is a story about a middle-class Marathi family from Pune and how addiction to TV affects the relationships between the family members.

Talking about the film, Patil said, “I had wanted to venture into film production since a long time and after discussing the idea with my friend Promod, we decided to form a production company and made this film.”

On his part, Kashyap said, “The film goes on to show how TV has become an important member of the family, especially in middle-class households and how addiction to TV can affect people. I can assure you that every family out there will relate to the film and the characters in it.”

Actor Sachin Khedekar wished the film team and also thanked them for giving an opportunity to newcomers with their film while filmmaker Mahesh Manjrekar too offered words of encouragement to Patil and Kashyap.

Former Deputy CM Bhujbal quipped, “When Patil sent me a message about the film on Whatsapp, I initially thought that he has sent me some message related to the ongoing controversy about mandatory screening of Marathi films during ‘prime time’. I realized it later that he was making a film and I wish him all the best and hope that it gets a good response from the audience.”

‘Prime Time’, which is slated to release on May 29, stars Sulekha Talwalkar, Milind Shintre, Kishore Pradhan, Nisha Parulekar, Jayant Gadekar, Kritika Deo, Anurag Worlikar and others.
