'Thamma success is like a beautiful divine light': Ayushmann Khurrana opens up on Tahira’s cancer relapse and how this Diwali brought cheer to his family
Mumbai/IBNS: Bollywood actor Ayushmann Khurrana posted a heartfelt note on the success of his latest release Thamma that continues its winning streak at the box office.
With his latest release, Ayushmann has delivered the highest opening for an origin story within the MHCU, comprising Stree, Bhediya, Munjya (Stree 2 was a franchise film).
His big Diwali release has lived up to the expectations in all departments.
Thamma is Ayushmann’s big Diwali release that has resonated with the family audience, and on the occasion, the actor shared an emotional post on Instagram sharing his journey this year, and the personal challenges he overcame along with his family.
He posted a series of pictures and videos on Instagram with his family and Paresh Rawal, and captioned it saying, "This family has seen a lot in the last few years. The success of Thamma is like a beautiful divine light. It is a result of collective prayers of the young and old present here. आयुष्मान भव: .. that’s what my father used to say whenever I touched his feet. When Paresh ji said आयुष्मान भव: in the film, it felt like my father, my guardian angel had blessed me.
"My family, my late father and the audience has blessed Thamma with love. Don’t be surprised if you come across an overwhelmed me in one of the theatres in the suburbs. I may drop in to say Hi and Thank you!"
Ayushmann’s Thamma has collected 58.79 crore nett at the box office so far.
The film marks his biggest opening day ever with a 25.11 crore collection at the box office.
Apart from Ayushmann, Thamma, which is directed by Aditya Sarpodkar, is headlined by Rashmika Mandanna, Nawaduddin Siddiqui and Paresh Rawal.
