Number of coronavirus cases in Iran rises to 95, 15 dead

Tehran/Sputnik: Total number of people infected with novel coronavirus, officially named COVID-19, in Iran rose to  95, while 15 of them were killed by the virus, the country’s Health Ministry spokesman Kianush Jahanpur said on Tuesday.

"As for now, we definitely have 95 coronavirus cases, 15 people have died," Jahanpur told the Iranian-state television channel.

Since Monday, the number of infected has increased by 34.

Meanwhile, a statement by the Iraqi Health Ministry said it has registered four new cases of coronavirus in an Iraqi family who paid a visit to neighboring Iran, news agency Xinhua reported.    

The family members were tested positive after applying the quarantine measures in accordance with the international procedures, according to the statement.

The total number of people infected with COVID-19 have now become five.
