South Korea: Two airplanes collide at Gimpo airport, no casualty

Seoul, June 26 (IBNS): Two airplanes collided in a South Korean airport which caused damage to part of the jets, media reports said on Tuesday.

The collision took place in Gimpo.

A Boeing 777 Korean Air plane hit its tail against a wing of an Airbus 330 Asiana Airlines plane in the apron of the International Terminal of the Gimpo International Airport at around 8 a.m., according to the authorities, Yonhap news agency of South Korea reported.

No passenger was present in the flights.

"There were two mechanic staff on each and neither of them were hurt," reported the South Korea news agency.

Airport authorities are trying to find the exact cause of the collision.
