World leaders gather in Israel to attend Shimon Peres' funeral
Jerusalem, Sept 30 (IBNS): As many as 20 world leaders have arrived in Israel to attend the last rites of former Israeli President Shimon Peres, who passed way on Wednesday following an illness.
His state funeral will take place on Friday in the Jerusalem.
US President Barack Obama is expected to deliver a keynote.
Also attending the event is Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas, who will visit the country for the first time since 2010.
Almost 8000 police have been deployed to control the mob, who are expected to attend Peres' funeral.
