#BoycottHyundai trends on Twitter over company's Kashmir post
Mumbai/IBNS: #BoycottHyundai has started trending on Twitter as the Indian subsidiary of the multinational automotive manufacturer is facing public ire over a tweet by its Pakistan dealership on "Solidarity with Kashmir".
The controversy was triggered after a Twitter handle named @hyundaiPakistanOfficial posted, "Let us remember the sacrifices of our Kashmiri brothers and stand in support as they struggle for freedom."
Slamming the firm, several netizens called for a mass boycott cancelling bookings of Hyundai cars.
One Nitesh Kumar Agrawal tweeted, "#BoycottHyundai I've made all my mind to book Brand new alcazar tomorrow and i was about to make token payment today, you can check the quotation here, but now I need to think again, this biased view is not acceptable."
