IDBI Bank inaugurates a new Zonal Office at Patna

Patna: IDBI Bank on Wednesday announced opening of its new Zonal office in Patna at Sai Corporate Park, Rukanpura, Bailey Road, Patna- 800014.

This Zone has been set up to oversee the operations of IDBI Bank’s 123 branches spread across Bihar & Jharkhand, with 05 regional offices at Patna, Muzaffarpur, Bhagalpur, Ranchi and Jamshedpur.

The Zonal Office was inaugurated by MD & CEO of IDBI Bank Shri Rakesh Sharma, in the presence of Shri Dhananjay Lele, CGM & Zonal Head, Patna and other senior officials of the bank.

Opening of this new Zonal office is aligned to IDBI Bank’s expansion plans in retail business. In Bihar & Jharkhand, IDBI Bank has witnessed significant growth in its retail advances.

Considering the immense potential of Retail, Agriculture, and MSME business in both the states, the Bank has decided to expand its presence in the states of Bihar & Jharkhand. IDBI Bank has seen good demand for consumer loans from Tier 1, 2 and 3 cities.

The Bank intends to expand its pan India reach to strengthen its retail customer base. In both states, IDBI Bank plans to add more than 1 Lakh new customers and achieve loan book growth of 15 - 20% in next one year.

Commenting on the opening of the new Zonal office in Patna, Rakesh Sharma, MD & CEO, IDBI Bank, said, “This initiative is in alignment with our overall retail-led growth strategy of offering value added products with technologically superior services to our customers. Considering the potential these two states offer and that economic activities are gaining momentum, we expect very good business from this zone in coming years.”
