Jet Airways launches new daily direct service from Lucknow to Abu Dhabi

Lucknow, Nov 14 (IBNS): International airline Jet Airways on Thursday commenced a daily direct international service linking Lucknow, the commercial capital of Uttar Pradesh, with Abu Dhabi, the national capital of the United Arab Emirates.

Guests will now be able to connect through Abu Dhabi to multiple international destinations in Europe, North America, Africa, Middle East and the Gulf, further enhancing the global connectivity from India’s emerging metros.

Ahead of the launch of its inaugural service from Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport, Lucknow, Jet Airways conducted a multi-faith pooja and lit a ceremonial lamp to mark the occasion of its inaugural flight to Abu Dhabi.

The lamp lighting ceremony was led by Amrit Abhijat - Secretary & Director General, Uttar Pradesh Tourism, Uttar Pradesh, Abhishek Mishra, Minister for Vocational Education and Skill Development, Government of Uttar Pradesh and Sonu Kripalani, Sr. Vice President - Guest Experience, Jet Airways.

This was followed by a ceremonial ribbon cutting and the first guest was felicitated and handed over the boarding pass by a senior Jet Airways official to mark the inauguration of this flight.

Lucknow, the historical and commercial capital of Uttar Pradesh is at the center of a growing commercial and industrial area and also offers innumerable tourist attractions of historical significance.

Jet Airways flight 9W 512 took off from Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport, Lucknow at 1905 hrs and will arrive into Abu Dhabi international airport at 2220 hrs (local time). The return flight 9W 511 will depart Abu Dhabi at 1035 hrs (LT) and arrive into Lucknow at 1550 hrs.

Guests will now have the option to travel beyond Abu Dhabi to international destinations such as Brussels, Manchester, Dusseldorf, Dublin, Belgrade, Moscow, Milan, Frankfurt, Munich and Paris in Europe, New York in North America, London, Johannesburg in Africa and Gulf countries with our strategic partner Etihad Airways.”

Jet Airways currently operates a daily flight each from Delhi, Kochi, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and 11 flights a week from Mumbai to Abu Dhabi. With these new flights, the airline is all set to achieve the landmark milestone of becoming India’s first private airline to operate over 50 daily flights to multiple destinations in the Gulf, making the airline the largest operator between India and the Gulf.

Jet Airways’ will deploy a state-of-the-art Boeing 737-800 Next Generation (NG) aircraft on this route, where Premiere and Economy guests may enjoy the airline’s famed in-flight service, its award-winning In-flight Entertainment (IFE) programme and the airline's hallmark concept of hospitality.
