Petrol price slashed, diesel hiked

New Delhi, Feb 17 (IBNS) Petrol price was reduced by 32 paise per litre while diesel price got hiked by 28 paise per litre on Wednesday, officials said.


The new prices will come to effect from midnight tonight.

"Decrease in Retail Selling Price of Petrol by Rs. 0.32/litre at Delhi (including State levies) with corresponding price revision in other States. With this change, the price of Petrol in Delhi will become Rs. 59.63/litre," the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) said in a statement.

"Increase in Retail Selling Price of Diesel by Rs. 0.28/litre at Delhi (including State levies) with corresponding price revision in other States. With this change, the price of Diesel in Delhi will become Rs. 44.96/litre," it said.
