Tata Power’s TPSDI conferred for ‘Capacity Building and Training’ at the Central Board of Irrigation & Power (CBIP) Awards 2017

Mumbai/ Kolkata, Feb 15 (IBNS): Tata Power, India's largest integrated power company has constantly endeavored to delivering excellence across all verticals and contributing towards the fast development of India's energy sector.

In recognition of this commitment, Tata Power Skill Development Institute (TPSDI) has been awarded for capacity building and training services in the power sector at the Central Board of Irrigation & Power (CBIP) Awards 2017.


Tata Power Skill Development Institute (TPSDI) was recognised for outstanding services to the nation by providing state-of-art specialized training with an innovative approach and creating a pool of committed and competent professionals equipped with appropriate technical skills to steer the Indian Power Sector.

TPSDI equips people with relevant employable skills that enable them to seize the emerging opportunities and works towards bridging the skill gap in the Power Sector. The Institute has set up five training hubs in four locations in the country leveraging the facilities of Tata Power which includes Shahad - Mumbai, Maharashtra, Trombay - Mumbai, Maharashtra, Maithon - Dhanbad, Jharkhand and Mundra - Kutch, Gujarat.

Commenting on the achievement,  Anil Sardana, CEO &MD, Tata Power said “This is indeed a moment of pride for Tata Power and we are delighted that our efforts have been appreciated on a national platform such as the Central Board of Irrigation and Power Awards.
