Pakistan: Bengal tiger dies in Karachi zoo

Karachi, Apr 29 (IBNS) A Bengal tiger died at Karachi Zoological Gardens due to kidney failure on Friday, media reports said.

According to reports, the tiger was unwell for a week.

Mohammad Faheem Khan, Director Karachi Zoological Gardens, was quoted as saying to Geo News that the tiger was 16 years old, adding that Bengal tigers usually live not more than 17 or 18 years.

Tender for a new tiger at the zoo will be submitted on Saturday, he was quoted as saying to the news channel.
