Neotia University to develop a course on English language and literature in the global context

Kolkata, June 3(IBNS): The Neotia University (TNU) organised a two day session on teaching English language and literature in the global context and to develop course content for the integrated five year MA degree course after 12th grade for the academic session 2015-16.

Discussing about the course Surabhi Banerjee, mentor, school of language, TNU said: “After serving few distinguished universities of India, I am happy to be associated with TNU. The course we are offering is a very new and innovative concept. This unique five years programme has the potential to generate employment for our students. No other universities in India have such a well planned student friendly course.”

“With this course we expect the students to get hooked up to English language. We have a well planned syllabus with a mixture of both English language and literature. A part form regular class room lectures we will be having virtual classes, where the students can interact with other eminent experts from different universities in the world.” said A S Kolaskar, vice chancellor, TNU.

The Neotia University was established by an Act of the West Bengal Assembly in February 2015.
