Students' Nabanna march demanding Mamata Banerjee's resignation: All Updates

Students under the banner 'Chhatra Samaj' planned to reach the West Bengal secretariat Nabanna in a rally on Tuesday afternoon protesting against the rape and murder of a 31-year-old trainee doctor at Kolkata's RG Kar Medical College and Hospital. The protesters demanded Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's resignation over the incident that has brought the state administration under scanner. Kolkata witnessed daylong pitched battles between the protesters and police who teargassed and used water cannons and batons to control the mob across the various routes to Nabanna in Howrah.
