Question will be raised as to who led to Pulwama attack: Adhir Chowdhury courts row; BJP hits back
New Delhi/IBNS: A massive face-off between the Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) took place on Tuesday after leader of the opposition party, Adhir Chowdhury, virtually questioned as to who were the "real culprits" behind the Pulwama terror attack which took place on Feb 14, 2019.
Adhir made the remark in the backdrop of the arrest of deputy superintendent of police Davinder Singh for ferrying two Hizbul Mujahideen terrorists. Singh was arrested on last Saturday.
In a series of tweets, the Congress Lok Sabha leader said, "Had #DavindarSingh by default been Davindar khan ,the reaction of troll regiment of RSS would have been more strident and vociferous. Enemies of our country ought to be condemned irrespective of Colour, Creed, and Religion."

"The chink in the armour is exposed in the valley much to the consternation of us,we can not afford ourselves to be penny wise and pound foolish," he added.

"Now question will certainly be arisen as to who were the real culprits behind the gruesome Pulwama incident, need a fresh look on it."

Hitting back at the Congress MP from West Bengal's Baharampur and his party, BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra said, "This is the same Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury who had stood up in the Parliament during the abrogation of Article 370 and had said, 'Did you ask Pakistan? Did you ask UN? This is a bilateral issue.' Why are they singing the tune of Pakistan?"
"I say this with extreme sadness that we may be political rivals, but the way the Congress party is behaving, it does not behove of a political opponent, this behoves of some kind of larger conspiracy," added the BJP leader.
Adhir's statement came as a shocker as it was Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM), the Pakistan-based militant organisation, which had claimed responsibility for the attack.
Meanwhile, speaking to IBNS, Adhir Chowdhury once again attacked BJP and said: "Whatever does not suit BJP, they pack it in the name of Pakistan."
