Ailing former Bengal CM Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee is on 'non invasive' ventilation
Kolkata/IBNS: Ailing former West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee, who was hospitalised on Wednesday, is now on "non invasive" ventilation.
In a press bulletin, the hospital, where he was admitted with respiratory problems, said, "He is on non invasive ventilator (ventilation) post extubation since last 24 hours with FiO2 30%, oxygen saturation is 94%."
"He slept well last night, conscious, alert, communicating verbally and otherwise
"Blood pressure, pulse is stable."
The CPI-M veteran, who is away from active politics for years over his illness, was admitted for treatment of acute exacerbation of his respiratory problems.
Bhattacharjee had tested negative for Covid-19.
