New Delhi/IBNS: Former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh drew massive flak from netizens after he paid tribute to Khalistani terrorist Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale and others who were killed inside Golden Temple in Operation Blue Star conducted in 1984, media reports said.

In 1984, then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi had led the Indian soldiers to enter into the Golden Temple to remove the terrorists who were led by Bhindranwale.

The terrorists wanted to make a separate state for the Sikh community.

The 1984 Operation Blue Star had led to the casualties of 493 combined militants and civilians including Bhindranwale.

Harbhajan slammed on Twitter

One user hinted that the former Indian spin bowler should not live in India.

Another user says, I am confused @harbhajan_singh, you cried on winning WC holding tricolor....now you are glorifying someone who does not wanted that....you have lost all respect."

One Suraj Kaul says, "Then Harbhajan Singh wanted donation for the foundation of Shahid Afridi who abused PM Modi & our Army and now he glorified Khalistani Terrorist Jarnial Singh Bhindranwale the killer of Thousands as a "Martyr. Shameful #HarbhajanSingh."
