New Delhi/IBNS: In further strengthening of the bilateral relations, Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrisson has called his country's trade deal with India as "one of the biggest opening doors in the world".

Speaking to reporters, Morrison said as quoted by NDTV, "These are never all or nothing deals as far as we're concerned, we see all of these as the next step and the next step and the next step."

After diplomatic relations with China deteriorated following Beijing's sanctions on certain Australian products, Morrison, who may call elections soon, is aiming to diversify his country's trade relations.

The new deal with India removes tariffs on more than 85 percent of the Australia goods.

Morrisson said he and his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi will witness the virtual ceremony.

The trade agreement will be signed virtually by Australian Trade Minister Dan Tehan and Indian Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal.
